Promoting good practice in workplace mental health seminar

Promoting good practice in workplace mental health seminar

With the impacts of austerity contributing to ever increasing levels of workplace stress, there has been an increase in the prevalence of mental ill health. In response, Unions have often taken the lead both in securing the best outcomes for individual members with mental health issues, and in working with employers to develop “mentally healthy” workplaces.

This free seminar will feature presentations by a number of unions illustrating:

(a) positive work with employers to achieve mentally healthy workplaces

(b) good practice in trade union support for members with mental ill health.

Presentations will be made by a combination of union officers, workplace reps and members with direct experience of promoting good practice in workplace mental health and the seminar will be fully participatory with ample time for delegates to ask questions and share their own experiences, with a view to encouraging further development of good practice.
