The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists

Howard Brenton’s adaptation for the stage of Robert Tressell’s The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists is being performed next week at the University of Salford, as a second year performance degree theatre project and part of the Pandora’s Box Festival.  Utilising Brechtian techniques, including song and mask work, Aspects Theatre Company bring to life this important text which addresses issues that are still as relevant today as they were in 1904, when the piece is set.
