Dear Chief Executive

Unison is aware that as CE’s you have been instructed to now begin the staff assignment and transfer process. Whilst we understand that your Trust has been and will continue to undertake preparatory work it is Unison’s (and I believe Napo’s) position that no such formal implementation should be undertaken until after the NNC meet on the 20th of this month.

Indeed the NNC Circular 10/2013, SSCOG 9/2103 of the 12th of November indicates that `Trusts are advised not to proceed independently without reference to further national advice as it emerges’

Given the imminence of next weeks talks, we seek an assurance that you will await the outcome. It is vital that your Trust, as the employer, maintains adherence with national collective bargaining. The auspices of the NNC have served Trusts well and the MoJ commitment to retaining such in the future undeniably means that NNC advice should be honoured.

I need to reiterate that any premature processes action will ultimately result in a breakdown in employment relations

I thank the Trusts whom have indicated that they will abide by the NNC advice

Regards

Vance
