Advice to members in NPS regarding removal of check-off

In responce to correspondence sent to all trade union members in the National Probation Service on Tuesday 21 April, notifying them that the MoJ plans to remove the facility for members to pay their union subscriptions by check off at the end of September we  advise our NPS members that they should take no action at present in relation to this threat and that UNISON will issue further advice in the near future following the general election.

Labour has committed to reversing this measure if it is elected in May, so we intend to hold off any work on this issue until we know the outcome of the election.

It is also important for our forthcoming industrial action ballot that members do not switch payment methods before this is necessary.
