Our health service is creaking under the weight of Tory cuts. The knock-on effects of drastic reductions in social care budgets, and the change from NHS Direct to the 111 service are piling on even more pressure.
Waiting times are rising, patient satisfaction is falling and UNISON members working in the health service say that all too often staffing levels are not safe enough to provide the care that patients need and deserve.
Nurses, hospital porters and healthcare assistants – the entire NHS family – are working harder than ever to keep our health service running and they need our support.
It is vital that we keep up the campaign against the government’s attack on our NHS and all the services we hold dear.
